Home and workplace area map (略図) tool for the naturalization application

Depending on the bureau, the naturalization application may include a sketch map of the area around your home and your workplace. KIKADIY's map tool shows a map from the addresses and nearest stations you enter, adds the travel time and contact fields, and generates the PDF.

Form notes and preparation guidance

Read the form notes and preparation guidance below before submitting. Confirm the current requirements with the Legal Affairs Bureau handling your application.

  1. Whether a map is required, and in what form, differs by bureau. Confirm at the pre-application consultation.
  2. Prepare the map for the address at the time of submission; redo it if you move or change jobs.

Frequently asked questions

Is the map always required?
No. Some bureaus ask for it depending on the jurisdiction and the application. Confirm at the pre-application consultation whether it is needed and in what form.
Does the map have to be hand-drawn?
In many cases a printed map with your home and the nearest station marked is enough. If the bureau asks for a hand-drawn map, copy the tool's map by hand. Follow the instructions of the bureau you apply to.
What is the supervisor information used for?
It is a contact the bureau can use to confirm your employment. Whether it is required differs by bureau; fill in what you are asked for.
